Moving abroad is both exhilarating and frightful.

Some will simply move out of the house but for my friends it is typically moving to another country and creating a new home in a foreign land.

I have heard sad stories of immigrants; moving with little to no money, sitting on the floor eating because all the money they have is only enough to pay the rent or worse needing to share with 4 to 5 house mates.

These are things that you can buy if your alone and wants to save some cash.

Sofa bed

You can get a studio apartment and let the living room also be your bedroom. Less space to clean and probably cheaper than larger apartments. Although it might be a bit pricier, specially when you are used to converting dollars into your own currency, but it is also important to consider comfort and durability. You can also disassemble and assemble it pretty easily so if you move you can just bring it with you. This has lasted me 3 good years.

Foldable Table

This will save you from buying a dinning table, a desk and a side table cause it can serve as one. It is space efficient because it can also easily fit in your car if you needed to move.

Cook Set

Most of us grew up with an acquired taste and unlike home where food that actually satisfy us is easily accessible, it might be difficult and expensive unless you cook it for yourself. Buying a cooking set is easier and cheaper than buying them individually. This is set has served us for over 4 years and for the price compared to other non-stick pan I think it is a steal.

Hopefully you get by really well in this initiation phase of moving and I hope this help you to save and be able to buy the big things; a car or even a house!

All the best.
